Dominick M. Mango, 90, husband of Carmella E. Sharre of Guilderland, New York, passed away on May 20, 2022 at St Peter’s Hospital. Born July 31, 1931 in Schenectady, New York, he was the son of the late John and Martina Mango.

Dominick attended Nott Terrace High School, then served in the U.S Army during the Korean War. He owned Mango’s Superette on Western Avenue in Guilderland for 15 years. Later he went on to work as a butcher and meat manager for Price Chopper for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife Carmella, his son Michael (Kim) Mango, and daughter Michele (Chuck) Yomant, and grandson Matthew Michael Mango; his sister Minnie Kownack, sister-in-laws Elizabeth (John) Grieg, Diane Riggi, and brother-in-law Anthony Sharre. Also, nieces, nephews and close friends.

Dominick enjoyed his work, working around the house, and helping family and friends with any handyman tasks. He could fix anything. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He was predeceased by his brother Peter Mango, and sister Grace Santa Barbara.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 26,2022 from 9:00am – 10:00am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave, Albany, NY 12203. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, 983 Watervilet Shaker Road, Albany NY 12205.
