She was born on January 26, 1923 to Frederick and Beulah (Traver) Stark in Mellenville, NY.
Betty attended business school in Albany and worked as a Secretary for NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation and the Labor Dept, from where she retired in 1985. Prior to raising her children, she worked for the Dept of State and the Boy Scouts of America.
Betty enjoyed playing her organ with her husband Jerry singing baritone at her side. She was an avid gardener and always had colorful flowery yard. She was a lefty softball player in her youth and made sure her kids were raised playing wiffle ball and badminton.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by husband Gerard (Jerry Sr.), sons Gerard (Jerry Jr.) Brian, Paul, as well as her sister Blanche and brother Frederick Jr.
Betty is survived by her loving daughters, Ann Marie Caulfield, Nancy (Bob) Behrens, Ellen (Corrado) Sainato, grandchildren Nancy (John Marra), Isabella, Emilia, Giancarlo and great grandchildren Serena, Lorenzo and Angelo.
Visitation will be held Sunday May 22nd from 4pm-6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, Colonie, New York.
Funeral services will be held on Monday May 23rd at 10am at the Funeral home. Interment to follow in Our lady of Angels Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204
