CLIFTON PARK – MSGT Gregory David Fritche, passed peacefully in his sleep, just prior to his 58th birthday on January 19, 2022.

He was born to on January 26, 1964 to Barbara and his late father, Robert (USAF, Logistics, RET). Greg was born in Rantoul, IL while his father was serving at Chanute AFB, Illinois. After graduating Utica Free Academy, Greg enlisted in the USAF and served at PEASE AFB, Albany MEPS (recruiting liason), and finally the 109th AW. He enjoyed the 109th mission (POLE to POLE), and frequently deployed to Antarctica, Greenland, and 2 oversea short deployments in combat zones.

Following his retirement, he enjoyed working with the Solomon corporation as a MXS tech.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline, his mother (Barbara), a brother (Eric), 2 sisters, Candice (Patterson), Holly (Anderson), and his beloved sons, Anthony (Carolyn), Aaron (Andrea), Nicholas, and Matthew. Greg had a special place in his heart for Carolyn and Andrea, for the blessing of grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. A celebration of Greg’s life will immediately follow at 1 Rush Street, in Schenectady.
