GUILDERLAND- Eileen T. Schiesel, age 95, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2022 with her family by her side.

She was born in Buffalo, NY on July 3, 1926 to Edward and Irene Gelen.

Eileen was loving and devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She brought much joy to those who knew her with her sense of humor, kindness and gentle demeanor.

Eileen was predeceased by her husband, William, her parents, siblings, Edward and Jean and son in law Kevin.

She is survived by her children: Linda O’Brien, JoAnne (Jerry) Giagni, Mary (Gid) Fidell, Paul (Terry) Schiesel and Nancy Schiesel; nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a special friend Rini Anil.

The family wishes to thank the staff on 5B at the Teresian House for their excellent care and compassion shown to Eileen.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Friday February 4, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. A service will follow at 12 Noon. Entombment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Face masks are required.
