Guilderland- Mary DePremis, 94, of Albany, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, January 23, 2022. Born in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Rose and Joseph Galea. Mary is reunited in heaven with her husband and the love of her life of 68 years, Rocco DePremis.

Mary’s passion was cooking. She was very devoted to her family, making sure they were always taken care of. Mary was a communicant of Christ the King Church in Guilderland.

She is survived by her three daughters, Rosemary Becallo (Paul), Darlene Darden (Mike Slye) and Joanne Trager (Chris). She was the loving grandmother to; Laura (Dave), Christopher (Jen), Mike (Nicole), David and Daniel (Val). Great grandchildren, Brian, Chloe, Preston, and Giavanna. She will also be missed by her siblings, Dominick, Joseph (Sylvia) and Ellen (Dante).


Mary is predeceased her sister Angie Padula and brother in law Rocco Padula and her brother Carlo Galea who passed away in Italy.

Calling hours will be Monday, January 31, 2022 from 4pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. The family will be meeting at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave, Albany, NY 12203 for a Mass of Christian burial at 10am on, Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 10am. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
