She was born in Newburgh NY on July 3, 1929 to Norman and Charlotte (Stanton) Brush.
Joyce worked as a waitress for many years. She was an avid reader of novels, history, and biography.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Sandra Lynch, grandson Robert Staples, Jr., granddaughters Audra Staples, and Alicia Alesandrini, sister Norma Kane, brothers Andrew Brush, and Dick Brush.
Joyce is survived by her sons John (Virginia) Lynch of Colonie, Danny (Kelly) Lynch of Delmar, Brian (Mary) Lynch of New Baltimore, and her daughter Laura Lynch (Cedric) Wells of Underhill Center, VT.; grandchildren Maria Biance, Shanna Staples, John W. Lynch, Denice Pottenger, Charlene DeVito, Lynn Moore, Daniel Lynch, Dawn Lynch, John Paul Mahar, Rachel Williams, Lindsey Wells, and Kathleen Lynch; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister Faye Croote, and brothers Norman Brush, Chester Brush, Victor Brush, and Peter Brush; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 14, 2022, from 11:00am to 1:00pm, with a service starting at 1:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, Colonie, New York.
