EAST BERNE- Frances J. (Plath) Thompson, age 85, passed away on November 24, 2021.

She was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Frank and Rosemary Plath. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald Thompson, Sr. and sister Rosemary Michalski.

Frances had many loves in her life- including garage sales, decorating, art, her family and her late husband of over 50 years. You would often find her in a church thrift shop or a diner just visiting and making friends. She has worked with family businesses that were owned by her husband, son and friend Cindy.

She is survived by her children: Pamela (Joseph) Hallenbeck, Ronald (Virginia) Thompson Jr., Karin Thompson; grandchildren: Mary Hallenbeck, David (Amanda) Hallenbeck, Ronald (Kaylie) Thompson III, Sabrina (Mark) Johnson-Cole and Rebecca (Sean) Brown-Harrison; and brother, Frank (Linda) Plath; and eight great grandchildren: Sebastian Brown, Carly Kuhlman, Christian Brown, Adison Johnson, Shae Harrison, Desmond Logue, Maximus Cole and Arabella Hallenbeck. Also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Tuesday November 30, 2021 from 4 to 6 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. All are invited to attend her funeral service following at 6 p.m.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204.
