Troy- Frances Sonsini, 92, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 with her loving nieces by her side. Frances was the daughter of the late Quirino and Teresa Sonsini.
She was one of five siblings, Robert Sonsini, Carmela Andriano, Thomas Sonsini, and Gregory Sonsini. She was a graduate of Catholic High School. She was an executive secretary and worked at Behr Manning and the Norton Company in Troy, NY until her retirement.
Frances enjoyed spending time with her entire family and loved cooking and dancing. Her smile was infectious and she was loving and caring to her family. She was a devout Christian and attended Mass daily at St. Peter’s Church in Troy.
Frances is survived by her brother Thomas Sonsini, and nephews Michael and Steven Sonsini, her nieces Linda Andriano, Diane Cramer, Teresa Ellis, and Dawn Sonsini (Hand), great nephews and niece Gregory Cramer, Patrick Ellis, and Kristina Bergeron.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday October 19, 2021 at 10:00 am at The Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, 125 Eagle St, Albany, NY 12202. Burial will follow the service at St. Agnes Cemetery, 48 Cemetery Ave, Menands, NY 12204.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Frances’ name to Franciscan Sisters of the Poor, 284 State Street, Albany, NY 12210.
