SCOTIA - Marguerite “Marge” A. Kilgallen 97, passed away on May 31, 2021 peacefully at Baptist Health Nursing Center Scotia, NY.
Marge, daughter of the late Ivie and Laura (Snyder) Hathaway, was born in Constableville, NY on November 10, 1923. Marge was married to Frances “Frank” Kilgallen in 1946 and lived in Schenectady, NY.
She enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking and making her famous cheesecake. She was also proud to be amember of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution , Old Hellebergh Chapter.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank, their daughter, Loraine P. Kilgallen, her brother, Ivie Hathaway Jr. and sister, Emma Hathaway.
Marge is survived by her granddaughter, Valerie N. Kilgallen-Lindenhurst, great-grandsons, Devin and Griffin Kilgallin, and a niece Tammy Vermilling (James). A special friend, Lois Kemner, who watched over her for the last decade like a second daughter. We will all miss the “I’m a Lucky Duck” Marge!
A private graveside memorial was held at the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
