MENANDS Peter S. Drzymala, 84, of Menands, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021.

Born on June 23, 1936, in Albany, Peter was the son of the late Stanley and Angeline (Walek) Drzymala.

Peter was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the phone company after 35 years of service.

Peter had great passion for planes and flying. He enjoyed spending time at the airport where he leaves behind many friends and memories. During his lifetime he built 3 of his own planes. He enjoyed golfing, sailing, bowling and fishing. He most cherished the time he spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Peter was predeceased by his high school sweetheart and loving wife Jane A. Drzymala (Martin).

Together they were married 63 years. Loving father of Peter (Abigail) Drzymala, Steven (Leonora) Drzymala, Mark (Joyce) Drzymala, James (Frances) Drzymala, Luke Drzymala, the late Joyce Ann and the late Susan Ann. Cherished grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Peter was a dedicated member of St. Joan of Arc Church in Menands.

Relatives and friends may call 11am-2pm on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd, Watervliet. Interment will be at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.

Occupancy will be based on the most current NYS Guidelines. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
