Melrose- Judith Hall Center, 77, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and daughter, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Samaritan Hospital.

Judi grew up in Bennington, VT where she was the daughter of the late Elmer Hall and Edna Hall. Judi raised her family in Guilderland, NY where she coached softball in the 1970s at Pine Bush Little League and was an active member in the PTA. She later went on to become a District Manager for Sunglass Hut.

Judi adored cooking for her family, working in the garden, playing cards, spending time at the beach and loved everything the color blue! She was always upbeat and had the best sense of humor. One of her greatest joys was watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. It was common to see Judi set up in her folding chair on the sidelines of a soccer, football or baseball game whether rain or shine, cheering on the kids.

Judi is survived by her children, Nelson E. Center II (Eric), Joseph E. Center (Christy) and Christine A. LaFountain (Ron), siblings Elmer Hall (Renee), John Hall, Sue Hall and Jeff Hall (Michele), grandchildren Keara, Jacob, Shane, Emily, Joe, Molly, Kathy, Micah, Noah, Joshua, Josiah, Zech, Jon, Nelson III, Maggie and Abby, as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews.

To protect the health of our friends and family, we will not be holding services.

Donations in Judi’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at 4 Pine West Plaza, Suite 405, Albany, NY 12205 or at www.alz.org/northeasternny.
