Jenny Granthon-Benvenuto was born April 27, 1961 in Manhattan NY and passed away on January 19, 2021 in Troy, NY with her family by her side.

Jenny is survived by her husband Gino Benvenuto and their four children, Amanda Hastings (son-in-law Eric Hastings), Lucie Benvenuto, Gina Lorenzo (son-in-law Timothy Lorenzo), and Angelo Benvenuto; her sister, Gwen Riley, née Granthon, (brother-in-law Jim Mesick); her nieces, Renee Riley and Erin Riley; sister-in-law, Fabi Benvenuto; brother-in-law, Tulio Benvenuto; niece, Amanda Lynn Frisco; niece, Celeste Benvenuto; half brothers and sisters, Juana, Isabel, Narcisa, Theresa, Jimmy, Abel, and Hugo; and her long term friends of the family, Michele Suarez, Frank Kasper, Giuliana Flores and Matilda Arias.

Preceded in death by her parents, Abel and Estela Granthon; in-laws, Hugo and Fabiola Benvenuto; brother-in-law, Brian Riley; and family friend Dr. Celia Sanz.

Jenny Granthon-Benvenuto married Gino Benvenuto October 14, 1984.

Jenny worked for NYS Tax & Finance as a Supervisor for many years. Previously she worked for: NYS Department of Labor as a call center representative, Centro Civico Hispanoamericano Cultural Center as an assistant director, a Spanish teacher for St. Mary’s and St. Ambrose, as well as a counselor at ARC and the Menands workshop.

Jenny was associated with: Girl Scouts, Blessed Sacrament, St. Coleman’s and her Rosary group.

There will be no services due to COVID. There may be something held in the summer. Please send condolence cards to 151 Exchange St., Albany, NY 12205.
