Donald M. Kennelly, 70, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Donald was the son of the late Donald Joseph Kennelly and Ursuline Elizabeth Kennelly. Donald will be mourned by his loving wife, Marilyn Kennelly. They were married 42 years ago on May 6, 1978.

Donald is survived by his son, Michael Kennelly; siblings David Kennelly, and Karen Rea.

Donald was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being in nature. After retiring from Pepsi Cola, he journeyed the country with his wife, visiting family, taking in historic sites and traveling to his favorite vacation spots.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, on Sunday, January 24, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 25, 2021 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Latham at 10:00 am. Interment will immediately follow the Mass in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.

Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
