Charlotte Van Zandt Scorza, 77, of Colonie, NY, passed away on January 7, 2021. She was born November 8, 1943, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Anna Van Zandt.

Charlotte was kind, generous, fun-loving and always had a smile on her face. She did many good things for her family and friends and kids in need. Charlotte treasured time with her family and going to reunions, weddings and other special events. She was a long-time employee of The Research Foundation for SUNY in Albany, NY, and well known and respected for her many business and personal skills

Charlotte was predeceased by her beloved husband Ralph J. Scorza, Sr., her parents Kenneth and Anna Van Zandt, and also three brothers, Gilbert, Richard, and Charles Van Zandt.

She is survived by her cherished son Randy Scorza , her brother Thomas Van Zandt and his wife Marlene Van Zandt of New Windsor, NY., her aunt Ellen Burdick as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be held Friday January 15 from 12:30-1:30, with a service at 1:30 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie NY 12205. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens.

Chapel size is limited to current NYS guidelines and masks are required in the building.
