Shirley A. Hanssen, 73, of Albany, New York passed away suddenly on Friday, September 11, 2020. Shirley was born in Albany, New York and she was the daughter of the late Hazel M. Hanssen and Joseph J. Hanssen, Sr.
She retired from the State of New York, Department of Motor Vehicles after 44 years of dedicated service. She was a talented Portrait artist and painter. In recent years Shirley became a Star Trek aficionado. She was a dedicated caregiver to her parents.
Shirley is survived by her brothers Joseph J. Hanssen, Jr. and Robert Peterson and brother-in-law Thomas J. Petronis. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Lou Peterson, and her dearest and closest friend Lois Rickard & her loving family.
Due to COVID-19 there will be no services.
