OCALA, FL/SCHENECTADY, NY- Lucy Nielsen, age 74, passed away on August 8, 2019 after a long battle with cancer.
She was born in Woonsocket, RI, the daughter of the late Ernest J. Chauvin and Arzelia Cartier.
Lucy was an avid political fact checker and loved Facebook and her friends there.
She is survived by her three children: Melissa Manheim, Eric Lussier and Craig Lussier; eight grandchildren: James, Christopher, Corey, Kori, Renae, Kyle, Collin and Natalie; two great grandchildren: James and Harper.
At Lucy’s request, there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lucy’s name may be made to the Joan Nicole Prince House, 22 Glenview Dr, Scotia, NY 12302.
Lucy’s family and friends meant the world to her and she will be greatly missed.
