COHOES - Florence H. Gardner, 97, of Cohoes passed away in the early morning hours on Saturday, June 15, 2019 after a period of declining health.
She was born in Troy on January 5, 1922 a daughter of Leo A. and Mary (Tobin) James.
Florence was a loving and devoted wife to William A. Gardner before his passing in 1998. Together, they enjoyed camping and bowling.
She was predeceased by her sister, Delores Madsen and her brother, Arthur L. James.
Florence is survived by her sister in law, Helen James of Cohoes; a brother in law, Kenneth Gardner (Nancy) of FL; her niece, Mary Anne Baranowski (David) of Valley Falls and two great nieces, Jamie Schiller (Michael) of Valley Falls and Brooke Stack of Troy. Also survived by several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Florence’s family wishes to thank the Eddy Village Green House 12 for their devoted care to Florence.
A graveside service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, June 19 at St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum in Troy, NY.
