In Memory Of
William B. "Boo Jack" Crumble, Sr.
1948 - 2019

On Tuesday, March 5, 2019, a heavenly angel came quietly into his room and escorted William "Boo Jack" Crumble peacefully into the arms of his father. William was born on December 4, 1948 in Greenville, North Carolina to the late Rosa Lee Sherrod (Columbus) and the late William Henry Crumble.

William was educated in the North Carolina school system until the age of twelve. At that time, he started working on a farm in order to support his family. It was during this time while driving the different farm equipment that he became mechanically skilled. When the equipment was not working, he would be the one to repair it. In order to continue to support his family, William started to work in a music store where he purchased his first guitar. William taught himself to play by listening to music on the radio. This is how he developed his love for playing the guitar and he continued to play. In order to continue to support his family, he purchased his first pick-up truck to do odd jobs. At the age of eighteen, William started driving tractor trailer trucks and after several years of driving, introduced to several members of his family to the trucking industry.

After relocating to Albany, NY in 1974, William made his church home Elijah Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of Pastors McKnight, Foster, and Commithier. After relocating to Troy, NY William became a member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Troy, NY under the leadership of Pastor Jackie Robinson. William's deep love for music, especially playing guitar, led him to playing in the choir at various churches throughout the Capital Region. At the time of his passing, William was a devoted member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church under the pastorage of the Reverend William Daniels. Throughout his life, William ALWAYS had a big heart & was willing to help anyone in need. He did not need or want any recognition for his acts of kindness because he loved helping others. William was also fond of teaching others as he took great pride in teaching others about driving tractor trailers or fixing vehicles.

William leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife Shirley Cancer-Crumble, 12 Children, William Crumble Jr. (Shonya), Michelle Crumble Sharpe (Derrick) of Greenville, NC, Marlena Smith (Doketa) of Virginia Beach, VA, Sherry Cancer, Rose Cancer, Vera Crumble, Christopher Crumble, Mwamba Green, Jared Bell, extended daughter Kiaree Vance, and extended sons, Evan Cutter & Hasan Stubbs of Albany, NY, & Charbra Beaven of Indianapolis, IN; 10 siblings, Columbus Sherrod of Troy, NY, Henry and Leatha Crumble, Johnny (Lisa), Wafeeq (Loretta), James & Dennis (Theresa) Sherrod of Greenville, NC, Jessie, Clarence & Roosevelt Crumble of Plymouth, NC; 16 grandchildren, Shaniya, Shamdo, Messiah, D'Mani, Jahod, Arkea, Shanequa, Jamee, Dysheonia, Day'ron, Demeric, Devin, Tyswaya, Jamiya, Jay'Sean, and Damonta and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
