1945 - 2019

Albany- Joseph A. Macri, 73, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 17, 2019 with his family by his side. He was the son of the late Frank and Julia Macri. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Elda (Losavio) Macri.

Following college, Joe went on to the U.S Army Reserves working in the medical unit. Joe worked for 30 years at SYSCO Frosted Foods before his retirement. He enjoyed the Adirondacks at Schroon Lake.

In addition to his wife Joe is survived by his two sons, Francis J. Macri (Tracey) and Joseph A. Macri II (Marlene).
He was the “Papa” to, Rosemary, Anthony, Kiyomi, Christina and Jordan. Joe is also survived by his two brothers, Michael F. Macri (Mary Ann) and John P. Macri (Mary Ellen) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joe is predeceased by his brother, Vincent Macri (Gloria).

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Church formally St. James Catholic Church, 391 Delaware Ave, Albany, NY 12209. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
