Troy- Alice M. Schreiner, 78, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Alice was the daughter of the late Ernest and Anna (Manning) Alderman. Alice was the devoted wife to the late Donald J. Schreiner, Sr., who predeceased her in 1987.

Alice was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. To her family was everything. Alice enjoyed her social nights with her female friends and the tradition carried on till the end with her niece, Sherry Morey. Alice was a big fan of The King - Elvis and enjoyed watching any cooking show. She was a very hard working woman all her life which is also reflected in her children.

Alice is survived by her children, Donald J. Schreiner, Jr., Sheila (Fred) Freije, Sharon (Butch Apple) Schreiner; grandchildren, Donald (Christy) Schreiner III, Jamie (Dawn) Schreiner, and Greg Schreiner; great grandchildren, Breonna, Samantha, Sabrina, and Skyelar Schreiner; her sibling, Albert Alderman; Alice was godmother to John Alderman; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Alice will be greatly missed by her furry friend, LuLu.

Alice is predeceased by her late son-in-law, Scott Heather, who she was extremely fond of.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, on Thurdsay, January 24, 2019 from 10:00 am to 12 noon. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12 noon. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery, Wynantskill.
