Colonie~

Lori Ann O’Brien of Colonie, 61, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, January 12, 2019, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Mary (Kirk) O’Brien.

She was a graduate of South Colonie Central High School and Mildred Elley. She worked for several local health insurance companies, most recently CDPHP for the last 17 years. She is survived by her siblings; Lynn O’Brien, Michael O’Brien (Howard Walseman), Christine Hanson (David), and nephews Brien Kunemund and Patrick Kunemund. She also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as many friends.

The family would like to thank her neighbors Karen and John, her cousin Don, and all of her friends who provided support throughout her illness.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Lori’s life at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm, where a service will be held at 6:30 pm in the funeral home. A private burial will be held at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
