ALBANY-Jesse L. Deere, 83, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

Jesse was born in Albany, NY on June 24, 1935 to the late William and Hazel Deere. Jesse served his country honorably in the United States Army during from 1957-1959, and he went on to work for the Teamsters as a Truck Driver. For over 22 years Jesse was the owner of Colonie Checker Cab. On October 16, 1959 Jesse married the love of his life, Donna. They were married for over 60 years until her passing in 2012. Together they raised two children.

Jesse is predeceased by his beloved wife, Donna.

He is survived by his children, Bruce (Denise) Deere, and David (Mary) Deere, his three grandchildren, David, Destini, and Christina, his three great-grandchildren, Kierra, Malaya, and Ryker, and his sister, Mary Deere.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189, on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 9:00am-10:00am with a service to follow. Burial will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon, Saratoga National Cemetery.
