WYNANTSKILL - Deborah J. Halse, age 60, wife of Peter P. Halse Sr., died on Thursday, January 3, 2019 surrounded by her loving family, following a long illness.

Born on February 3, 1958 in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Carl Sr. and Judith Carl.

Debbie enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family, including her fur babies, Abbey, Brooklyn, and Chase. She also enjoyed redecorating her house with every season, going to garage sales, and shopping at her favorite store - the Dollar Tree. Debbie was the epitome of a giver, she was there whenever you needed her, even when you didn't know you did. To know her was to love her.

In addition to her husband, Deb is survived by her children, Tricia (Dan) Rozicki, Tiamarie Alexandra, and Stephanie (Matt) Halse all of Wynantskill; her stepchildren, Shannon (Jim) Nolan of Saratoga and Peter (Jamie) Halse Jr. of Troy; and her brother, Mickey (Maryellen) Carl of Wynantskill. She was predeceased by a sister, Donna Scifo and a daughter, Sharon Rathbun. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Specifically including Robert P. Scifo Jr. of Schenectady and Nicholas A. (Brandy) Scifo Sr. of Wynantskill, in which she played a very active role as a second mother for many years.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Timmons, Lisa Armao, the staff at the Women's Cancer Care Center at St. Peter's Hospital, her nurse, Robyn Battles at The Hospice Inn and her dear friend, Bari.

A memorial service will be celebrated in her honor at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189 on
