Guilderland-Margaret (McMahon) Evon, 89, departed on Saturday, December 15, 2018.
Margaret was born in Westfield, MA, on November 11, 1929. She was a resident of Guilderland for over 60 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Victor, her daughter, Robin, her grandson, Peter, and many other relatives.
She is survived by her children B. J. Aviza, Patricia (Rick) Hoefer, Elaine (Chuck) Bailey, Michelle Hotaling, Margaret (Eric) Evon-Laier, Dawn (Greg Stutz) Evon and Albert (Wynda) Evon, 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189, on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 4:00pm-8:00pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Latham, NY 12110. Burial will be held at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret’s name to the Community Hospice Inn, 315 South Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208.
