Gail Virginia Towslee, 71, of West Coxsackie, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018 at her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Albany on November 28, 1947, Gail was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Virginia (Nelson) Moore. She was the devoted wife of William E. Towslee, together they were married 27 years.
Loving mother of Dawn (the late Jim) Lawyer, Mark (Michele) Couser, Kelly Couser-Meacheam, and Dawn (Anthony) Imbrogno. Cherished grandmother of Kayleigh, Briann, Stephen, Rachel, Grace, Sean, Lacey, Nathan & Mia. Sister of Linda Wynant. Several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Born in Albany and raised in Elsmere, Gail also resided in Rensselaer and Troy for a period. She was employed at Sterling Winthrop Drug Co. in Rensselaer and later by Hamilton Printing in Castleton.
Gail enjoyed spending time with her family, which she often said was her greatest achievement. She also loved being a "pet mom" to her beloved cats and dogs. Gail will be remembered for her sense of humor, wittiness and strong heart.
Funeral Services will be privately held at the convenience of the family per Gail's wishes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204.
