COHOES- Douglas P. Dame Sr., age 73, passed away peacefully at home on December 5, 2018 with his loving wife and caretaker by his side.

He was born in Cohoes, the son of the late Regina and Roland Dame. He was predeceased by two brothers: Roland and Kenneth Dame and a sister Jacqueline Gerard.

Douglas was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, serving on the USS Holder.

He was an avid photographer and computer enthusiast. He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife.

Douglas retired from NYS Public Service Commission as a Sr. Computer Programmer Analyst.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Georgianna Dame; a son, Douglas Jr. and step son, Joseph E. Paluba III. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 10 to 11 a.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment with full military honors will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.
