John F. Posluszny, 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Ellis hospital with his loving family by his side.

John was the son of the late John Posluszny and Elizabeth (Cull) Posluszny.

He was the devoted husband of over 46 years, to Dorothy J. "Dottie" (Lionarons) Posluszny.

John proudly served with the United States Army from 1967 to 1970. He worked for GE as a machinist.

John was a sweet, kind and gentle man. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and hunting. He was an avid fan of the Duke, Blue Devils and the New York Yankees and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Robert Lionarons and his sister-in-law, Maureen Faught.

John is survived by his wife Dottie, he is the brother of Suzanne (Alton) Durfee. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-laws; Rose Marie (William) Greer, Henry (Deborah) Lionarons, Kathleen (Mark) Wickham and Ernest (Jackie) Lionarons, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Baptist Health, Nursing and Rehabilitation and the staff at Ellis hospital especially John's nurse Katie on C1 for her kindness and love given to John and his family.
