Albany- Francis Albert Kaufman, “Frankbo”, “Penrod”, 66, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Thursday, October 18, 2018. He was the son of the late John Paul and Elizabeth Kaufman. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Roberta E. Kaufman.

For 38 years, Frank worked for the railroad retiring in 2012. Frank was an avid reader, history buff and was extremely patriotic to our country. Frank’s family referred to him as the “wise old owl” because of his vast knowledge of all subjects. Everyone suggested he go on Jeopardy. He was a huge Minnesota Viking’s fan since 1968 and a huge New York Mets Fan. Above all

Frank loved his family especially his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by his children, Melanie Rawlins, Marcella Simmons (Chad), Aaron Minnick (Suzanne) and Hollee Kilde (Jason). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jamiee, Justen, Libby, Cole, Natalee, Kane, Evan and Lucas.

Frank is predeceased by his daughter, Yvonne Minnick and his loving sister, Barbara who he adored.

Respecting Frank’s wishes there will be no services but donations can be made to The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Boulevard, Rensselaer, NY, 12144.
