Albany- Willard D. Welch, 53, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn in Albany.

The son of the late William G. and Margery (Prescott) Welch, Will was born on January 20, 1965 in Niskayuna, NY. He graduated from Albany High. Will was a Union installer for Turazzo tile and also spent time as a baker. Will was an avid Kansas City Royals fan, he was also a member of Capital District Camaros. He loved music, played the drums and guitar. Willard also volunteered with his mother at the Grace & Holy Innocents Soup Kitchen. Will had a great sense of humor, one of his favorite bits was Stuart from MAD TV, “Look what I can do!” RUSH was his favorite group, “We are only immortal for a limited time.”

Will is survived by his children, grandchildren and siblings. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 9 am to 10:30 am on Saturday, October 20, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Valatie, NY.
