He was born on November 11, 1944 son of the late Ray and Gladys Gaul.
David was a talented mechanic. He and his wife started Village Auto Supply, the first auto parts store and machine shop in Voorheesville. He had a passion for cars and racing. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting.
He was a devoted husband and father, he was a kind hearted man who was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He will be very dearly missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Patricia (Tommell) Gaul;son, Joshua D. Gaul; sister-in-law, Barbara Gohman (Wayne); brothers-in-law, Samuel Tommell (Fran), Nicholas Tommell (Joann); aunt, Maureen McDonough (Jack) and many friends.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 4:00-8:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. Graveside services will be private at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
