Ballston Spa- Barbara Jean (Russell) Luczak, 74, passed away peacefully Friday, July 6, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Barbara was the daughter of the late George Russell, Sr. and Esther Russell. Barbara was the loving wife to Eugene J. Luczak. They were married 23 happy years.

Barb was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed caring for her pets. Barb also enjoyed crocheting. Christmas was Barb's favorite holiday, she enjoyed decorating and admiring her "handy work" until the middle of February. She was an avid watcher of the Hallmark Channel, especially the Christmas shows.

Barb is survived by her children, Cynthia (Joseph) Russo, Debra (Guy) St. Andrews, Pamela (William) DiBacco, Richard A. Cherney, Jr., Keith Cherney, Sr., Mark (Tracey) Cherney, Sr.; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Sharon Cooney, John Russell, Ronald Russell, Jerry Russell; and many loving relatives and friends.

Barb is predeceased by her brother, George (Kathy) Russell, Jr.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours starting at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Albany Rural Cemetery, Albany.

Donations may be made in Barb's memory to Saratoga Community Hospice.
