Leo C. Plowden, 62, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Albany County Nursing Home. Leo was the son of the late Charles and Phyfene (Warley) Plowden. Leo proudly served with the United States Navy. Leo enjoyed putting together model cars in his spare time.
Leo is survived by his brothers and sister: James Plowden, Vernell Witherspoon, Effie Burgess, Charles Plowden; his half sisters: Linda and Cheryl Alexander; his aunt, Mary Pendagrass. He is also survived by his son Jimmy Lee Brown of Texas and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Leo was predeceased by his sister, Mabel Cochran.
Leo’s family wishes to express their gratitude to Albany County Nursing Home for their loving and compassionate care.
A memorial service will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY on Saturday October 14, 2017 at 12:00 pm. Burial at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery will be private and held at a future date.
