Philip F. Glock, 65, a life time resident of Albany, passed away peacefully at home on January 28, 2015 after a long courageous battle with cancer.

He was the son of the late Walter F. and Hazel (Rose) Glock. He graduated from Philip Schuyler High School and Hudson Valley Community College. He proudly served in the United States Army in Vietnam, receiving a Bronze Star.

Philip loved fishing, bowling, science fiction movies, taking cruises and trips to Las Vegas.

Philip worked as a truck driver for most of his life, working for several different companies over the years including Hannaford and Price Chopper.

In addition to his parents, Philip was predeceased by his sister June (Baldwin) Ginter and his brother Walter Glock.

Philip is survived by his loving wife of over 39 years, Mary Agnes (Gavigan) Glock. He is the loving father of Sarah (Adam) Elia and Philip "PJ" Glock. He is the adored grandfather of Madison, Adam, Mason and Marley. He is also survived by his sister Elaine Glock, sister-in-law Mary (Paul) Tomchik and several nieces, nephews and a group of loving friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Stratton's Veterans Affairs Medical Center 113 Holland Ave., Albany, NY 12208 in Philip's memory.

The family would like to thank all of the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at the Oncology department at the Stratton VA Medical Center for all of their care and compassion.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 7:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will be on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 11:00 am, all are welcome.
