Nadisha Tasha Skeine, 30, of Watervliet passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born February 27, 1984 in Lucea Hanover, Jamaica Nadisha is the daughter of Clinton Skeine and Maxine Fletcher-Johnson.

Nadisha attended Hudson Valley Community College and graduated with honors obtaining her associates degree in Business Administration where she was also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Nadisha enjoyed all kinds of crafts, baking, and event planning. She began to grow a name for herself with her in home business; Kerry's Kakery, Kreative Kakes & Krafts. Nadisha had a big heart and will be truly missed by all her family and friends.

Survivors include her fiancé Winston Swaby; daughter Mahlia K. Swaby; son Malakye T. Funeral services to celebrate Nadisha’s life will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2015 12 P.M. at Capital City Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 168 South Allen Street, Albany, NY 12208 with Pastor David Cuke officiating. Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held from 9 A.M. until time of service at the church. Burial will be held at a later date in the family cemetery in Woodsville Hanover, Jamaica.

Nadisha’s family graciously declines flowers. Instead, memorial donations may be made in Nadisha’s name to the American Cancer Society. The donation can be made at www.cancer.org
