Ralph C. Hildenbrandt, 90, entered into peaceful rest in the Lord on December 13, 2014.
Ralph was born in Colonie and resided there for his lifetime. He was the son of the late Fred and Gertrude Hildenbrandt.
He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School and after graduation joined the Navy in 1943. During World War II, he served in the Pacific Theater and was discharged in 1946.
He graduated in 1948 from the State University of Delhi, New York with a degree in Building Construction.
After being employed in the remodeling and construction field for several years, he was employed by the Town of Colonie Building Department, and became Director of the Building Department for approximately 30 years and retired from that position.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marga of Colonie, his two sons Gary P. Hildenbrandt and his wife Karen of Colonie, Mark A. Hildenbrandt and his wife Marlene of Ballston Lake, five beloved grandchildren, Kristev, Derek, Jason, Zachary and Carly.
Memorial contributions may be made to the United States Navy Memorial Foundation, 701 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest, Suite 123, Washington D.C. 20004, Community Hospice of Albany County 445 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205, or to the charity of your choice.
Funeral services were private at Ralph's discretion and the Interment was in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
