Albany- Frank E. Wimbush, 84, of Albany, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 20th, 2014 at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Frank was born on April 8th, 1930, the son of the late Joseph and Betty-Ann Wimbush. In addition to his parents, Frank is predeceased by his sister, Vernice Miller, and three brothers; James, Robert, and Joe- Luis Wimbush.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Joylette Wimbush. He is the cherished father of 4 sons; Anthony Brandon, Lionel (Renee)Chalmers, Byron Wimbush, Keith Wimbush, one daughter, Shaun Wimbush. He is survived by 4 sisters; Geneva Jones, Mrytle Bailey, Gladys Traynham, and Viola Wood, two brothers; Otis Wimbush, John Henry Wimbush, two sisters in law; Linda Lewis, Bulah Wimbush, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Albany Memorial Hospice.
Calling hours will be held at Bethany Baptist Church, 59 2nd St # 65, Albany, NY 12210, from 10-11am, on Tuesday, November 25th, 2014 with a memorial service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park.
