Dolores P. Giunta, 80, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home.

Dolores was born on February 9, 1934 in Albany, NY and was the daughter of the late John and Pauline Froelich.

In addition to her parents, Dolores was predeceased by her husband Anthony Giunta, who she married on November 28, 1987.

She loved to travel to Las Vegas and on occasion take a trip to the Racino in Saratoga. Her love for pets, especially dogs was a calming comfort for her. Dolores lived and worked in Albany most of her life, retiring from NYS Office of General Services in 1996.

Dolores is survived by Anthony R. (Susan) Giunta and Flo Giunta of Green Island, Eileen (Timothy) Holohan of Clifton Park, Angelo Giunta and Patrick Rhodes of Cohoes and Jane (Timothy) Young of Niskayuna.

A special thanks to the staff at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home in East Greenbush for the compassionate and tender care she received.

Family and friends may call on Monday, November 3, 2014 from 9:00 to 10:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, then to St. Clare’s Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Glenmont.
