SCHENECTADY- Thomas Viola passed away peacefully at his home after a long illness on October 22, 2014. He was born in the Bronx on May 1, 1957, to Clement and the late Adrian Viola.

Thomas graduated from Bishop Gibbons High School in 1975 where he began his love of music. During his career he was a musician and sound engineer for artists such as Chubby Checker and Edgar Winters. Thomas also enjoyed working on computers and all loved all aspects of music.

Thomas is survived by his brothers James (Linda) and William Viola and his nieces Jennifer (Felix Esquivel) Viola and Jamie (Ryan) Obst. Thomas is also predeceased by his brother Patrick.

Calling hours for Thomas will be on Saturday, October 25, 2014, from 9:00-11:00am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205. Interment will follow the calling hours at Park View Cemetery.
