Chuck "Charles" Haynes, age 63 of Rensselaer, NY., passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Hope Hospice House, Cape Coral, Fl., after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on October 20, 1950 in Albany, NY to Thelma Sevigny and Charles Haynes.

Chuck was retired from Bricklayers Union, Local #2 and employed by Colonie Masonry for over 20 years. He was an avid San Francisco 49ers football fan. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, playing cards, and a little "wagering" on the side.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Joan (Rootes) Haynes; his daughters; Michele Goldman of Ft. Myers, Fl., Carole Haynes of Renesselaer , NY and grandson Terrance Haynes of Menands, NY. His step-mother Helen Haynes of Pulaski, NY; sisters: Beverly Pignatelli of Mechanicville, NY, Norma Jean Ballou of Sandy Creek, NY and Betti Lee Haynes of Henderson, NY. He is also survived by numerous extended family, nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice House of Cape Coral. Please make checks payable to the Development Office, Hope Hospice. Funeral services will be on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 11am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. Calling hours will precede the service from 9-11am at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow the service in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
