CLIFTON PARK – Michael Anthony Gioeni, 52, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 at home. Born in Albany, he was the son of Salvatore Gioeni and the late Suzanne (Gregory) Gioeni.

Michael worked for the IBEW Local 236 as an electrician for 27 years. He collected beer steins and money from all around the world. Michael enjoyed golfing, gardening, traveling and taking a drive in his convertible Corvette on Fridays. Aside from being a Jets and Yankees fan, he was also a handyman for friends and family, whom he loved to spend time with. He enjoyed having a fun time and making people laugh; when those were down, he lifted their spirits.

Michael will be missed by his wife of 14 years, Beatrice Gioeni; children Taylor (Alex) Buell of Clifton Park; Michael Gioeni, Jr. of Denver, CO, and Rebecca (Michael) Davies of Austin, TX; siblings Terri Brady and David Gioeni; brothers and sisters-in-law Eric Ring, Jonathan and Jennifer Moneymaker, and Nina and Thomas Moneymaker; mother-in-law Sandra Moneymaker; grandchildren Samantha Davies, Giada Buell and Mia Buell; several nieces and nephews, and his loyal canine companion, Griffin.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to Parsons Child and Family Center, 60 Academy Road, Albany, NY 12208 or a Veterans Administration facility of your choice.
