Robert G. "Bob" Mesick

1940 - 2013
ORLANDO, FL – Robert G. Mesick, 72, of Orlando, formerly of Albany, passed away on Sunday May 12, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Roy and Helen Mesick Sr.
Bob was born on October 26, 1940 and was a 1959 graduate of Albany High School. He served in the US Army for two years. Bob had worked for National Automatic Sprinkler Industry and for many years with the US Postal Services, retiring in 2008. He enjoyed bowling and golfing. Bob was a longtime coach and mentor with South Colonie Pop Warner program.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Barbara Liuzzi Mesick; his daughters Jill (Mark) Palladino and Kellie Mesick; his son Robert (Kristin) Mesick; and his grandchildren Nicole, Tiffany, Kendra, Teressa, Justin, Abigail and Chelsea. He is the brother of the late Roy Mesick. Bob is the brother in law of Fran Mesick, Maureen Liuzzi Drugda, Louis, Ronald, and Kevin Liuzzi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 9:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie then to St. Pius X Church at 10:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2 Pine West Plaza, Washington Ave. Ext. Suite 204 Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Robert G. Mesick.
