Carletta, affectionately known as “Connie”, age 59, crossed into eternal life on Thursday, April 5, 2012 surrounded by family. Carletta is the mother of Aneisha Johnson, Dante Ivy and Anwar Smikle; grandmother of Jaha, Jasmine, Ebonique, Shamia, Ahneena, Amiah, Quvareon and Isaiah, and great-grandmother of Onastie.
Her memories will be cherished by her children, her loving mother Annie Mae (Andrew) Williamson, three brothers, Larry Johnson, Joseph Young (Detroit, MI), and Bradford Copeland; three sisters, Celinda Okwuosa, Angela (Darrell) Franklin, Springfield, MA, and Monya Copeland. Her brother, Henry L. Johnson preceded her in death.
A celebration of Carletta’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 12 noon at Arbor Hill Church of God in Christ, 40 Lark Street, Albany, NY, with Tre Staton, Pastor of Empire Christian Center, officiating; Dr. Charles D. Guthrie, Pastor of Progressive Faith Ministries, Eulogist. Viewing at 11 a.m. Internment at Graceland Cemetery.
