Nancy Lou Kim, 82, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2016 after a courageous battle, with her loving family by her side.

Nancy was the daughter of the late Raymond Shaw and Wilma Shaw. Nancy was a member of the Christ the King Parish. She proudly served with the United States Marine Corp.

She was a post master in Voorheesville, then moved to Hawaii and worked for the Hawaiian Telephone company, after moving back to the capital district she worked for the Guilderland School District until her passing. She also volunteered with the Guilderland Community Care Givers for the past few years.

Nancy was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending all of her grandchildren's sporting events at Guilderland Central School District and at the University at Albany.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her siblings; Patricia Shaw and Sandra Fulton.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Frances DeLeon, Patricia (David) Palmer, Barbara D'Arpino and Mary (Michael) DeAngelis. She is the cherished grandmother of; Shauna, Jeremiah, Nicholas, Tori (Derek), Nancy, Macie, Giuliana, William, Michele, Teddi and Alexandra. She is also survived by her great granddaughter Sophia; her sisters, Shirley Gilbert, Wanda Swellbar, Linda Bates; one brother Danny Shaw and many nieces, nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 11:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 20 Sumter Ave., Albany NY 12203. A Calling hour will precede the Mass from 10 to 11 at the Church. Entombment will follow the service at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY. at 1:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Community Caregivers, 2021 Western Ave., Ste. 104, Albany, NY 12203 or to the Help Orphan Puppies 147 Pannis Road, Delanson, NY 12053 in Nancy's memory.
