SCHENECTADY- Edward J. Lynch, of Schenectady, passed away October 3rd, 2015 with his loving family by his side.

Edward was born in Albany, New York on July 16, 1936 to the late Leo and Catherine Lynch-Lennon. Upon graduating from Philip Schuyler High School he served in the Army, where he was stationed in Germany for two years. When he returned he started his career as a Banker and after years of working his way up he retired from Key Bank in Downtown Albany located on State Street. He was a Kiwanis member for many years and enjoyed working with the United Way Charity along with the Boys and Girls club. In his free time, he also enjoyed fishing and hiking in the Adirondacks, walking his dogs, and spending time with his family in their Cabin there.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Arlene (Richard) Leto, and his step father, Robert (Catherine) Lennon.

He will be forever missed by his beloved Wife, Nancy W. Lynch, son, William E. Lynch, daughter, Kathleen (Michael Dolan) M. Lynch, daughter, Amy E. Lynch, son, Christopher M. Lynch, grand daughter, Kaydence Dolan, along with serveral nieces and nephews and many loving friends.

In lieu of flowers the family asks you to consider donating in Edwards name to a general Environmental Conservation of your choice.


Friends and Family may call on Wednesday, October 7th from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, where funeral services will be held the following morning on October 8th at 9:30AM with Father Brucker officiating.
