FUERA BUSH – Lee Martin, 92, passed away peacefully with his family nearby on Friday, March 20, 2015.

Lee was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Pat, in 2011; his brother Charles, and his grandson Shawn, who died in Iraq in 2007.

He has left behind his oldest son Paul (Dawn), youngest son Mark (Lynn); grandchildren Nicolle, Jamie, Amanda and Steve; great-grandchildren Kyra, Darrian, Taryn and Lillian, and sisters Elizabeth, Ilene and Donna.

Lee was born and raised in Delmar. He served in the Army between 1942 and 1945, assisting in Germany, Italy and North Africa in the 442nd Antiaircraft and the 99th Chemical and Mortar. After being honorably discharged, Lee worked with his father as an electrician. In 1947, he married Patricia (Pat) and they built a home in Fuera Bush, where they lived the rest of their lives. Lee and Pat traveled 48 of the 50 states and made friends wherever they went. Even upon his passing, he still had many friends. Lee was a motorcycle rider for many years and rode Indian motorcycles. He was a member of the Onesquathaw Fire Department for over 55 years and the American Legion Hall.

Lee will join his wife Pat for eternity at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 4:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road,Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Onesquathaw Fire Department, PO Box E, Clarksville, NY 12041.
