CHARLESTON - Calvin Lewis Humphrey, 81, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the VA Stratton Medical Center in Albany.

Cal was born in Amsterdam, NY and was the son of the late Irving and Eliza (Bundy) Humphrey. He served his country proudly in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a driver for Harlan Sprague Dawley, Inc. during his retirement years. Prior to that he worked in various occupations and was the Town of Charleston Supervisor in the 70's. He was a member of the Burtonville Volunteer Fire Department and a member and Elder of the Duanesburg Reformed Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed the many outdoor activities and gardening.

Cal is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dora E. (Fidler) Humphrey; his loving children, Kirk D. (Kathy) Humphrey, Ward J. (Diane) Humphrey, Lynn A. (John) St. Pierre, and Sara E. (Richard) Forbes; 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Albert Humphrey.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Duanesburg Reformed Presbyterian Church, 6512 Western Turnpike (Route 20), Duanesburg, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Deacons Fund at the Duanesburg Reformed Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 218, Attn: John Fidler, Duanesburg, NY 12056 in memory of Calvin Lewis Humphrey.
