Edward C. Hoosier, 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Community Hospice Inn at St. Peters.

Edward was the son of the late Edward and Eunice Hoosier.

He was the devoted husband of over 30 years to the late Marian Hoosier.

Edward was a member of the Elks Lodge #2466 in Clifton Park and he was active with the VFW. He worked for and retired from Carman Trucking in Albany after many years, as a Diesel Mechanic.

He enjoyed traveling, spending time at the camper with Marion and spending time with family and friends talking about good old days.

In addition to his wife Marian, Edward was predeceased by his siblings; Earl, Dorothy and Barbara.

Edward is survived by his children; Karen (Darrell) Elrod, Lynn Hoosier and Kerry Hoosier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Edward's close friend, Muriel Pellino, his nephew Charles H. Hotaling, Jr., his wife Jen and the entire staff with Community Hospice at St. Peters for all of their care and support.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, New York on Wednesday June 13, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Wednesday June 13, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
