1939 - 2018

DELMAR - Mary Ann (Rarick) Irons "Ma", 78, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Mary Ann was born on August 14, 1939 in South Bethlehem and was the daughter of the late John E. and Matilda (Frank) Rarick.

She was also predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, Morris C. Irons, Sr., her daughter, Deborah Langenbach and brother-in-law, Peter Herman Boehlke.

Mary Ann was a member of Life in Christ Fellowship Church in Nassau. She loved gardening. Mary Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed caring for people and was a mother to many other than her own children. She loved animals and will be remembered for her kind heart and infectious smile.

She is survived by her loving children, Diane Irons, Christine Schettini (Vincent), Morris C. Irons, Jr. (Kate), Linda VanNatten (Robert), Jo-Ann Irons (Jon Seelow) and Mary Lou Irons (Matthew Thompson); her son-in-law, Earl Langenbach; her cherished grandchildren, Michelle Langenbach (Britt La Salle), James VanNatten (Heather Morris), Matthew VanNatten (Elisabeth Haarsager), Thomas Langenbach, Cameron VanNatten and Lilliana Irons; and her cherished great grandchildren, Nicholas Langenbach, Austin Langenbach, Kiera La Salle, Joshua VanNatten and Riley VanNatten; siblings, Frances Boehlke, John Rarick and James Rarick (Milly) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday May 17, 2018 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery in Berne.
