Rensselaer- Richard E. Dodge, 88, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2018 at Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush. The son of the late Edgar and Ruth (Gates) Dodge, Richard was born on May 9, 1929 in Hartford, CT. Richard served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for Fort Orange Press in Albany until his retirement.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Julia E. Dodge; his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Voelk and brother-in-law Fred Clark. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Albert Dodge and his sisters: Betty Bent and Anita Bent.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, April 20 at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 983 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Colonie.
