Wilfred J. Bacon, 61, of Wynantskill, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn with his loving family by his side. Born in Troy, Wilfred was the son of the late Arthur Bacon and Mildred (Chartier) Canam. Wilfred was the devoted husband to Tamare E. Bacon. They were married 40 years.

Devoted to his family and loved by everyone, Wilfred was the light of any event. He could always make "something happen from nothing."

For many years, he was employed by the Local 241 Roofer's Union, Albany, NY. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.

Survived by his children, Cassandra D. Bacon, Joshua J. Bacon and Tiffany A. Bacon, his grandchildren Joshua, Jr., Lamonica, Tyashia, Ra'Mya, Ti'Nyrah, and great granddaughter Faith. Also survived by his brother Thomas Bacon, two sisters Tina (Thomas Kulzer) Bacon and Mary Lou (Jack) Collins. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles also survive.


Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, on Wednesday March 28, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
